Ichor Rig - Combat Demo
pilot a converted giant corpse in a metal shell to kill insectoid horrors
Demo requirements: a laptop or PC with Chrome and a discrete graphics card. Future full game will be packaged on Steam.
wake in a hospital bed. the computer talks to you. you're in a bunker. on an island. the ground is covered in engineered biomechanical slime and giant insects roam the island.
the giant insects are approaching the bunker. the chittering. so much chittering.
the bunker hangar has an engineering loader rig, a bipedal two armed overdesigned crane. only this rig is only half a rig. the other half is a compromised monster corpse with its nerves spliced into remote controls, organic fusion reactor powering crude jet nozzles, three machine guns and a jury-rigged helicopter rocket pod bolted into its arms and shoulders.
good luck.
This is a basic combat demo for Ichor Rig, an upcoming horror-themed mech 2D top down shooter, with an X-COM like strategy layer.
The full game will feature varied missions investigating monster strongholds and unusual phenomena, resource capture missions, missions defending other factions and so on. Research, engineering and other facilities can also be built allowing the Deadnaught various upgrades, tools, weapons and equipment as development is invested in.
Independent settlements and factions apart from you will exist on the island; trade with them for resources and knowledge, build trust to be able to share intelligence and request help, or raid and exploit them.
Find a way off the island. Or a way to save everyone. Or just yourself. Or defeat the enemy - but is that possible?
